Science
This week in Science we have looked at how blood transports nutrients and water throughout our bodies. We used skittles to show how diffusing from the Skittles into the water represented a model for how nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream and transported throughout the body.
English
In English we have been revising our use of active and passive sentences and how to use a range of adverbs for cohesion in our writing. We also started planning our explanation text on the circulatory system which we will begin writing next week.
Maths
For Maths this week we continued our work on area and used the formula for the area of a triangle and area of a parallelogram to calculate the areas of these shapes.
