This week in English, we have finished reading our book Krindlekrax which the chidlren really enjoyed. They have written their final draft of their setting description remembering to describe their five senses using expanded noun phrases.
In Maths, we have continued with our multiplication and division topic. The children have learnt how to multiply and divide by 10 and 100 as well as learning how to multiply a 2-digit by a 1-digit number. We were really impressed with the resilience they showed during these lessons.
In Science, we looked at different food chains and they worked hard to put the animals in the correct order. In D.T we designed our own healthy cereal that they are very excited to make next week whilst also thinking about how the packaging can keep it fresher for longer.
The children have been sent home with a homework sheet this week. Spellings have finished for this half term, so there are no new spellings to learn this week.
Key events for next week
Monday 15th - Christmas jumper day and our KS2 Christmas Carol performance
Wednesday 17th - Film afternoon (children are allowed to bring one snack in for themselves - No nuts)
Friday 19th - Children finish school at 1:15pm
