Year 6 update - 14/05/21
Mr. Stephens - 13 May 2021
We've had a fantastic week in Year 6.
In Science we extracted the DNA from a banana in a strange but amusing investigation.
Our English Writing project has produced some incredibly diary entries. The children were tasked to inhabit Charles Darwin as he voyaged on the HMS Beagle. They imagined disembarking at the Galapagos archipelago and described the habitats and organisms he would have witnessed.
We've begun a new Maths block focusing on ratio. This is a new area of Maths for the children as ratio has not appeared in the Maths curriculum so far. It'll be interesting to see if the children can apply their knowledge to reasoning and problem-solving challenges!
