Holiday Activity Food Programme for SEND children in receipt of benefit related free school meals

We are writing to inform you about our upcoming Holiday Activity Food Programme (HAF) which is free and specifically designed for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) from aged 5 years old to 16 years of age, who are in receipt of Benefit Related Free School Meals (BRFSM). The programme will run over the Easter holiday period as detailed below.

 

The aim of this programme is to provide a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for SEND children to engage in enriching activities, nutritional education, social stimulation while also receiving nutritious meals. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy their holidays to the fullest, and we are committed to making this possible for your students.

 

Here are some details about the programme, please also see attached leaflet.

 

Dates:                 

Monday 14th of April , between 9:00am – 1:00pm

Tuesday 15th of April , between 9:00am – 1:00pm

Wednesday 16th of April , between 9:00am – 1:00pm

Thursday 17th of April , between 9:00am – 1:00pm

 

Location:            DABD, Pembroke Gardens, Dagenham RM10 7YP

Activities:           Our programme includes a variety of activities designed to cater to different interests and abilities:

Food:                   A nutritious meal will be provided to all participants

 

We understand that each child is unique and may require different levels of support. Our team is trained to accommodate these needs and ensure that your students have a positive and enriching experience.

 

We kindly ask you to share this information with the parents of your SEND students who are in receipt of Benefit Related Free School Meals and encourage them to participate. To confirm their child's participation, parents should send an email to send@dabd.org.uk with their child’s name and DOB and proof of their eligibility for benefit related free school meal (FSM).

 To have access to the funded sessions Children MUST be eligible for BENEFIT RELATED Free School Meals via an application through Havering. To check or to apply parents can complete the Free School Meals application on this page  Free School Meals Criteria and Application Link

SCHOOL ADMISSIONS
For school admissions information and to apply, go to:
www.havering.gov.uk/admissions/primary

Parental Consultations on Wednesday 26th March, 2025. Children do not attend school.
School will finish early on Friday 4th April. Children go home at 1:15pm.
Easter holidays: Monday 7th April - Monday 21st April inclusive.
Children return to school on Tuesday 22nd April.
