English
This week in English we have been looking at the features of a balanced argument and have been revising our use of modal verbs, colons, semi colons and dashes. Next week we will be trying to include these skills when we write our own balanced argument based on our class text.
Maths
For Maths this week we have started our new topic – Algebra. We have been looking at how identify 1-step and 2-step rules and have been forming our own expressions. We will continue learning about algebra next week where we will look at 1-step and 2-step equations.
Design Technology
This week we started our DT project. We began by looking at the “Make do and mend” initiative that was used during WW2. Next week we will be learning different stitching techniques.
