Year 6 02.10.25

Miss Line - 02 Oct 2025

Maths
This week we have been learning how to use the short division method along with using factors to help us divide the more tricky number sentences. We have also made a start on how to use long division.

English
In English we have been continuing our work on descriptive writing. We have had to describe the features of the circus from our class text ‘Street Child’ using our knowledge from last week’s lessons on expanding noun phrases and relative clauses.

History
We have continued our work on the Victorian Era this week and have researched the death of Prince Albert. We then created a fact file about his death and the impact his death had on the Queen and others.
