English
This week in English we have completed our informal letter. Before writing our final draft, we edited our writing to ensure we had included a range of sentence openers and conjunctions.

Science
In Science we have continued our work on inventors and inventions. We looked at how to make catapults with lolly sticks. We used our knowledge of electrical circuits to create our own vacuum cleaners!

SCHOOL ADMISSIONS - excluding Nursery

For school admissions information and to apply, go to:

Children born between 01/09/2021 - 31/08/2022 are due to start Reception in September 2026.
Applications close on 15th January, 2026. Offer day is in the evening of 16th April, 2026.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please note there's a different process for school transfers. You'll need to contact the Special Educational Needs Team directly at sen@havering.gov.uk to discuss changing your child's school.

School will finish for the Christmas Holidays on Friday 19th December (children will leave school at 1:15pm) and will return to school on Monday 5th January 2026.
