Miss Line - 20 May 2022

Maths
This week in Maths we have been continuing our work on geometry. We have looked at the interior angles of polygons and have been drawing 2D shapes and nets of 3D shapes. Next week we will be moving on to statistics.

English
In English this week we have been planning and completing a first draft of our Francis narrative. Next week we will be editing and improving this draft.

Science
We have continued to look at Charles Darwin in Reading and Science this week. We have looked at the process of natural selection and how offspring inherit features from their parents through their DNA. We drew the offspring of some Little Miss and Mr Men characters to see what features they might inherit.

The deadline for Reception 2026 applications was Thursday 15th January 2026. If you
need to make a late application then please visit the website above for further information.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please note there's a different process for school transfers. You'll need to contact the Special Educational Needs Team directly at sen@havering.gov.uk to discuss changing your child's school.

Easter holiay dates are from Monday 30th March to Friday 10th April 2026.
Children return to school on Monday 13th April 2026.
