Year 6 Week 1

Miss Line - 05 Nov 2021

Maths
This week we have been looking at fractions. We have been revising our use of equivalent fractions and have been converting improper fractions to mixed numbers. Next week we will be continuing our work on fractions and will be comparing and adding fractions and mixed numbers.

English
For English this week we have started looking at the features of non-chronological reports. We have practised our use of apostrophes for possession and have been learning how to use semi colons and colons. Next week we will be using these skills in our own non-chronological reports.

Science
In Science we have looked at how to sort and classify living things. We made our own sorting keys to separate different animals.
