y6 IOW reminders

Hello Year 6 family!

The trip of the century is pending. 

We depart from school at 8:00am sharp - So please arrive at 7:00am so that we can organise the medication, money and luggage for all children. It is essential that we leave on time as we have booked a ferr which departs Portsmouth at 11:00 am.

Final reminders of things needed for the week:

- Medication is to be labelled and in original boxes. Please bring with medication forms. We have spare forms that can be filled out on Monday morning if necessary.
- Pocket money must be in envelopes, clearly labelled with the amount and child's name.
- Enough food to last the children from the morning to 6:00pm when we arrive at the hotel for dinner.
- Comfortable fot wear for walking, for the beach and for sports activities
- T-shirts (no vest tops)
- Jumpers/sweatshirts
- Trousers/jeans
- Sufficient amount of comfortable underwear
- night wear / slippers
- Appropriate shorts
- Coat
- Wash Kit (Toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, flannel, shampoo, deodrant, roll-on)
- Towel (personal use, plus one for the beach)
- Carrier / bin bags for wet/dirty clothing
- Refilable Water bottle
- Sun protection (creams, hats etc)
- Insect Repellent and bite cream ( no areosols please)
- Book to read
-Disposable Cameras (BRING AS MANY AS POSSIBLE - CHILDREN TEND TO USE IT ALL  BEFOER THEY GET ON THE FERRY)
-Board games
-Bing a smile and a good attitude to life :)
- Remember that your teachers need 8 hours sleep!

ALL BEDDING IS PROVIDED
NO ELETRICAL EQUIPMENT - STRAIGHTENERS OR HAIR DRYERS

The deadline for Reception 2026 applications was Thursday 15th January 2026. If you
 need to make a late application then please visit the website above for further information. 


If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please note there's a different process for school transfers. You'll need to contact the Special Educational Needs Team directly at sen@havering.gov.uk to discuss changing your child's school.

Easter holiay dates are from Monday 30th March to Friday 10th April 2026.
Children return to school on Monday 13th April 2026.
