Y6 Poetry

Mrs Zaayman - 27 Nov 2015

As you know, Y6 have been studying poetry this week. This theme has run through their Homework and they have even used the author visit (Christopher William Hill) to inspire some of the poetry that they have composed.

Below is Lousie's poem that was inspired by the author vist all about The Burnt Human Heart...

It called him,
It called him,
The grave yard was empty,
The birds sang to him,
As they flew across the sky.

It called him,
It called him,
The heart belonged to a Viking warrior,
It was as dark as ash from a cigarette,
As wrinkly as an elderly lady’s skin.

It called him,
It called him,
He should not have taken it,
But he did,
He held it,
Held it in his hands.

As I am sure you will agree Lousie has produced a fabulous poem!
