What a Week!

We have had such a great week in Y6!
We have honed our measures skills in Maths, looking in particular at how we use protractors accurately and how to approach and solve measures based word problems.
In Literacy we have started to think about the use of flashback to convey a shift in time. This is particularly tricky but Y6 rose to the challenge writing about scenes from The Hobbit and Harry Potter. Can you think of any other books or films that use flashback(s)?
We have also investigated Viking Gods and the myths that surround them. In extended writing we have focused on the God Loki and how he was punished by the other Gods for his cruel and manipulative actions. We have retold this story and have worked hard to engage the reader throughout. I can't wait for next week when we get to learn more about other Viking Gods!
