Well done year 6 for a brilliant week!

This week we have been continuing our focus of ‘evolution and inheritance’ in science this week. We researched how different animals are adapted to their environment, from there we chose 2 animals from different habitats and drew what their offspring would look like, explaining which features it would have from each parent and how it is adapted to its environment.
In history, we researched the Kingdom of Benin and what life was like there.

In maths this week, we have finished our ‘shape’ topic and have now started our ‘position and direction’ topic. We will be continuing and finishing this topic next week before we start revising for our SATs.
We have been continuing with our grammar and comprehension revision throughout the week and will be continuing this into next week as well.

Homework has been sent home today along with new spellings with spelling scores attached from this week. I have also sent home a letter regarding leavers hoodies. As stated in the letter, the price is not fixed and will depend on the number of orders. Once order forms come back, I can send another letter home with an accurate price.
Just a reminder that Polling day is on Thursday 2nd May so children will not be in school. As always, please continue to read 5 times a week and use TTRS for 5 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

 need to make a late application then please visit the website above for further information. 


If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please note there's a different process for school transfers. You'll need to contact the Special Educational Needs Team directly at sen@havering.gov.uk to discuss changing your child's school.

Easter holiay dates are from Monday 30th March to Friday 10th April 2026.
Children return to school on Monday 13th April 2026.
