Year 6 Week 2

Miss Line - 17 Sep 2021

English
This week in English we have been writing our diary entries based on the character Jim from our class text “Street Child”. We have been editing our work with our partners. Next week we will be looking at descriptive writing.

Maths
For Maths, we have been continuing our work on place value and have been rounding numbers up to 10 million. We have also been using negative numbers and have started revising our use of column addition and subtraction. Next week we will be looking at using inverse and multiplying numbers.

Science
In Science we have been looking at static electricity and carried out an investigation to see which materials generate the most static electricity. Next week we will be looking at the parts of an electrical circuit.
