Y6 Homework Writing Project

The homework project this term is to either write 5 years of your life story or 5 days of a real diary or an imaginary diary.

For the dairy, the children have to write 5 pages A4 Paper. They can write it in their homework book or in a note pad/book. The children can draw pictures/ colour in and decorate it. They can make it up or it can be true.

For the life story, the children have to do 5 years of their life that they have enjoyed .This can be in your homework book or a scrap book. They can include pictures of the events or draw things. This needs to be true .

Children born between 01/09/2021 - 31/08/2022 are due to start Reception in September 2026.
Applications close on 15th January, 2026. Offer day is in the evening of 16th April, 2026.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please note there's a different process for school transfers. You'll need to contact the Special Educational Needs Team directly at sen@havering.gov.uk to discuss changing your child's school.

School will finish for the Christmas Holidays on Friday 19th December (children will leave school at 1:15pm) and will return to school on Monday 5th January 2026.
