Year 6 Week 6

Miss Line - 03 Apr 2019

Maths
For Maths this week we have been revising our use of negative numbers and have been continuing to practise converting metric units of measure.
We have looked again at ratio and proportion problems and have been identifying and calculating missing angles within a shape, at a point and on a straight line. We are also continuing our reasoning work and have been working through practice papers.

Literacy
This week we have completed our narrative using a flashback. We are now beginning to edit and improve our own writing. For reading comprehension we have been looking carefully at the different question types and how we can answer these questions fully.

Topic
Last week we looked at rationing and tried a variety of wartime foods.

This week we will be looking at the different types of shelters that were used during WW2 and how they were designed to keep families safe.
