The Hunger Games

Mrs Zaayman - 12 Jun 2015

This week Year 6 have started a new unit of work, in Literacy, all about the Hunger Games. We have started reading the text and we are gripped!

So far, this week, we have: written in role, described contrasting characters and we have also tried to persuade others to join our rebellion.

We will continue to read the text as a class and complete varying pieces of writing inspired by this.

If you agree, then please do let you children watch the film at home (this will have to be supervised by an adult as it can be violent at times). This will engage them in their learning further and hopefully inspire them to read the other books in the series.

I have encouraged the children to get their own copies of the book should they want to read along in class. I got my copy from Tesco however, if you do buy one then please do make sure that it is the first in the series.

Have a great weekend.

Mrs Zaayman
