Week 3 Summer 1 5S
09 May 2025
Well done for another brilliant week, Year 5.
This week, in Maths, we concluded our topic of Shape. This included revisiting polygons, and defining the difference between a regular and an irregular polygon. We also practised using protractors to measure angles again, as some children were still confident doing so. The class did a great job of recognising 3-D shapes to end the week!
In Reading, we continued with our class book 'Treason'. We are really enjoying reading this book together, and the pupils have shown real engagement with it. This week, we focused on our inference, prediction and explanation skills, with an expectation of the children to explain their thoughts in detail.
Thank you very much to all the parents/adults who attended our class assembly, shared learning and Stubbers meeting! It was brilliant to see so many people there. The class did such an amazing job in their assembly- they performed so, so well and we were so proud of them! We made some delicious soup with our ingredients that the children brought in, too.
Happy weekend :)
