Year Five: Week 1

This week in Year Five we have been developing our understanding of Ancient Egypt as part of our topic 'Pharaohs'.
In Maths we have been revising place value and have been challenged by an array of problem-solving and reasoning activities.
In English, we began researching Ancient Egyptian hierarchy with a view to writing independent, high-quality fact files.
In Science we conducted a group investigation focusing on the properties of materials. We learned about a new property called 'permeability', which is a materials ability to let water pass through it.
Swimming will take place on Wednesdays, so please ensure the correct swimming kit is brought in on this day.
