Year Five: Week Seventeen

This week we've finalised our topical work about the Tudor era of Britain.
Maths
This week we worked on adding fractions pictorially and using abstract notation. We have had to find common denominators to ensure that our calculations work.
English Writing
We have had fun with riddles and have been challenged to write some that contain figurative language and are about the Tudor era.
Geography
We have practised our cartography skills this week, taking on the role of a Tudor scribe. We copied plans of The Tower of London into our books and created a key for the map to show key Tudor elements of the tower.
