English
This week in English we started looking at poetry. We practised how to use similes, metaphors and alliteration and next week we will be using these in our own poems. For reading we also started looking at the poem “The Tyger”
Maths
In Maths we continued our work on multiplication and division by looking at how to divide and multiply numbers by 10, 100 and 1000. We have now started our new unit – fractions.
Science
Our new Science topic for this term is space. We started our topic by looking at the geocentric and heliocentric models of our solar system and the scientists who discovered these theories. Next week we will be looking at the different planets that make up our solar system.
