Miss Burgess Update 04/03
04 Mar 2022
Happy Friday! 😊
This week in Nursery has been very exciting!
The children mainly enjoyed our celebration for World Book Day and enjoyed their costumes all day. Throughout the day we shared wonderful stories and had lots of circle times to allow the children to talk about and share their costumes with their friends. Thank you all for taking part and making this day enjoyable for the children.

For our phonics this week we have started to focus on oral blending and segmenting of words. To do this we have been doing lots of activities that involve making different voice sounds. See below a little prompt see for ideas you can do at home. We have also been very focused this week on ensuring the children a attempting to form the letters correctly of the taught sounds; m, a, s, d and t.
We have also been looking at 2d shapes and linking them to symmetry and we have started to decorate our own plant pots. Finally, we have been learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly- we are putting together a wonderful display of the children work that I cannot wait to share with you next week.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy looking over the few images below,
Miss Burgess 😊
