All are welcome & Science Day
Miss Kelly - 02 Jul 2021
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we have had a fantastic week in Nursery this week. We have been reading the story “All are Welcome”. We spoke about how all the children in the story are different from each other and spoke about diversity. We have also looked at all the countries on the blow-up globe (which was super fun!)
In Maths we have been learning about time. We have been counting how many exercises we can complete in 30 seconds.
On Tuesday we took part in the school-wide science day. We dressed up as scientists and learnt all about elephants. Our focus was on a scientist called Daphne Sheldrick who looked after baby elephants. Daphne Sheldrick discovered that elephants can feel emotions. In celebration of her discovery, we matched pictures of different elephants to happy and sad emotions. We also made elephant’s toothpaste (which was obviously the best part). Before making elephant’s toothpaste we made predictions of what we thought may happen. I have uploaded a video onto Seesaw of our experiment so you can see it too!
This week’s homework has been uploaded onto seesaw
Please take a look at some of our pictures from this week!
Have a lovely weekend!
Miss Kelly 😊
