Welcome back to nursery! We hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and New year.
This week in nursery, out theme has been Winter Wonderland. Our focus stories have been The Gruffalo's Child and Penguin and the Pinecone. These stories looked at bravery and friendship and the children enjoyed listening to them and recalling what happened. In maths, we counted objects and practiced writing our numbers. We sang lots of songs and played instruments. We made some cloud dough and made snowmen by rolling balls. At the art table, we painted different shades of blue to represent the ice and snow and printed snowmen using different shaped sponges.
It's been a fun week and a great start to the new year.
