Miss Burgess Update 22/10

22 Oct 2021

This week in Nursery we have been looking at a new Nursery Rhyme each day! The children who knew these enjoyed sharing with the class and the children who weren’t as familiar loved learning a new song. We even had a go at making up some of our own actions.

We spent a few days this week completing some junk modelling projects. First, we tried to make the Incy Wincy Spider and then we tried making a boat- linked to our song ‘Row, row, row your boat’.
The children were enthusiastic to explore all of these new materials, during the holidays if you manage to collect and boxes or packaging material you think would be good for some junk modelling please bring it in when we return 😊

The children are continuing to work hard whenever they are in Nursery, I am so proud of how well they have settled in. We have been working hard on recognising and writing their name and numbers up to 5.

I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable break.
Enjoy looking at the few pictures below and I look forward to seeing you all on our return to school.

Reminders and Messages:
  • As we are moving into the winter months, please help and encourage your child to put on / take off their own coat as this is a valuable skill and will help them during transitional times while at Nursery.
  • If you wish to change or increase your child’s current sessions then please let Miss Spraggon know by the 12th of November, this is due to a high demand for sessions for new starters.
