What the Ladybird Heard

16 Jan 2020

Ladybird, you saved the day!
We have been so engaged with the story of What the Ladybird Heard. We have been learning about what a farm is and which animals live there. We know the sounds the animals make too!

In maths, we have been counting ladybird spots and working on adding some more and taking some away, using 1:1 correspondence to check how many are left. We have been painting spots, cutting spots, drawing spots and sticking spots.

We have been reading a range of books that have animals in them and have even had a go at making our own maps to save the fine prize cow like the ladybird had. We have been talking about directions and mark making lines and dots to signify objects on the map.

Our vet has been open for children to check in their animals, get a bandage and have some rest to feel better.

See you soon!

Mrs Degun & the Nursery Team :)
