Year 5 Summer 2 Week 2

Miss Line - 18 Jun 2021

Maths
This week in Maths we have been looking at how to multiply and divide decimals by 10, 100 and 1000. We have also started our new Geometry topic – angles. We have reminded ourselves of the different types of angles and have looked at how to measure them in degrees. Next week we will be using a protractor to accurately draw and measure different angles.

English
In English, we have started to research and plan our next biography on Henry VIII. Next week we will be completing this biography and beginning our next genre – newspapers.

Science
We have been looking at and comparing the gestation periods of different animals in Science this week. Next week we will be identifying and naming the different parts of the human reproductive system

Geography
We have continued our Tudor topic this week and have looked at Tudor London. We used online resources to compare Tudor London to London today.
