Year 5 week 4

Miss Line - 14 May 2021

Maths
In Maths this week we have continued to learn how to convert fractions into equivalent decimals and percentages. We have now moved on to adding and subtracting decimals within 1.
Next week we will be completing assessments in Arithmetic and Reasoning.
 
English
In English this week we have been looking at the features of persuasive writing and have been revising our use of comparative and superlative adjectives.
Next week we will be completing assessments in Grammar and we will also begin to plan our own persuasive letter.
 
Other
In Science this week, we have looked at how the rotation of the Earth gives us night and day and have created some art work on the phases of the moon. In RE, we have continued our work on Sikhism and in PSHE we looked at why it is important to keep ourselves safe online.

Monday 15th April to Wednesday 24th July 2024

Friday 12th July - INSET day. Children do not attend.

Wednesday 24th July - last day of term. Children leave at 1:15pm

Please note, voicemail, emails and post are not monitored over holiday periods.

Children will return to school in September on Tuesday 3rd.
