Week 1 5S

07 Nov 2025

Well done, Year 5, on an excellent first week back!

This week, we have begun our new mathematics topic on fractions. The children have worked extremely hard and shown great resilience, even when faced with challenging tasks. It has been wonderful to see their determination and enthusiasm for learning.

In English, we have started exploring our new text, Hidden Figures. The children have engaged thoughtfully in class discussions, sharing their ideas and interpretations with confidence.

Our new science topic, Space, has also been launched this week. During our lessons, we have learnt about the different planets and fascinating facts about our solar system. We have been truly impressed by the depth of knowledge and curiosity displayed by the pupils.

A gentle reminder to parents and carers to please book an appointment for the upcoming parents’ meetings next Wednesday.

We wish you all a lovely weekend.
