Spring 1 Week 4- Long Ago!

02 Feb 2023

This week we enjoyed a blustery, windy PE session in the big playground- we practiced controlling a ball, rolling hoops and following instructions.

As part of our topic we learnt that a long time ago, there weren't cars on the road or laptops or tablets! We then decided to make a class car and the children have enjoyed playing in it.

Thank you to all the parents who brought in baby pictures- we enjoyed looking at these, guessing who the babies were and prompting discussion about the past, present and future.

We learnt why pictures used to be black and white long ago. We took pictures with our friends and Mrs Degun printed these off in black and white. We spoke about colour and then we experimented painting self- portraits using black, white and grey paint! The children really loved this.

We had our class photos taken this week, your child was sent home with a ticket where you can download the image and purchase the photo if you wish to.
