Miss Burgess Update 12/11

12 Nov 2021

This week has been an incredibly busy week for the children in Nursery. We have spoken a lot about firework night, had our first school picture, completed a one-minute silence for Remembrance Day, we had a jumping competition for World Science Day and even had a visit from dragon!

In our PSED lessons this week we spoke about places and people that make us happy and introduced the word ‘safe’ in these discussions. We also spoke about how Firework Night makes us feel, the children were excited to share their opinions and are starting to listen respectfully to each other during carpet sessions.
In our maths, we spoke about sizes of objects and worked on comparing and ordering. We looked at objects in the garden and found things smaller and bigger than we were, we even found some insets in our hunt.

Next week, we will be taking part in lots of party role play as the celebration we are learning about is Birthdays.

Have a wonderful weekend, enjoy the pictures below and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday 😊
