Happy End of Term! 😊
This week in Nursery, we have been recapping lots of our learning from this half term, while introducing a new phonics sound.
This week we have introduced the sound ‘n’ and the rhyme to help us remember this sound is, ‘down Nobby and across his net.’ We have also focused a lot on doing robot talk. Robot talk is where I will tell a story and segment CVC words such as; cat, dog, pig and red. The children then have to say them back to me and figure out what I was saying.
We have continued our careful counting and applied our counting skills during our PE lesson. In PE this week we completed some races! The children counted backward from 3 and 5 to start every race, they enjoyed cheering for their friends and playing games in the hall.
Nursery also had their class photo this week, please make sure to keep checking the website to see when the photo is released. The children listened carefully to the photographer and were very well behaved.
I hope you all have a safe and well rested break and that the sunshine decides to make a reappearance sometime soon.
Miss Burgess 😊
Reminders:
Please be aware there will be no PE during the first week back. PE will resume on Wednesday the 27th of April and will now be held in the afternoon. If your child attends this afternoon session they will need to attend wearing a PE kit.
