Year 5 Summer 2 Week 3
Miss Line - 25 Jun 2021
Maths
In Maths this week we have been learning how to accurately draw lines and angles using protractors and rulers. We have also been learning how to calculate missing angles on a straight line and around a point. Next week we will be identifying a range of 2D shapes and describing their properties.
English
For English we have completed our biography on Henry VIII and have started looking at the features of a newspaper. We have revised direct and indirect speech and have started planning our first newspaper. Next week we will begin putting our ideas together to create a news report.
Science
In Science we have looked at the different parts of the human reproductive system and have labelled diagrams using scientific language. Next week, as part of Science Day, we will be looking at the work of William Kamkwamba.
Art
For Art this week we have looked at miniature Tudor portraits and have created our own self portraits in this style. Can you guess who these self-portraits belong to?
