Wind the Bobbin Up & The Three Little Pigs

Miss Kelly - 23 Oct 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had another wonderful week in Nursery this week. This week we have been learnt the Nursery Rhyme ‘Wind the Bobbin Up’. Ask your child to see if they can remember the song to sing it to you. We have also read the story of the 3 Little Pigs and have had lots of fun huffing and puffing to try and blow the different houses down!

In Maths, we have been continuing learning our colours and this week we have learnt all about the colours yellow and green. We made two new friends this week and they are called Yoyo Yellow and Gary Green (See the picture of all our new friends below- Robin Red, Bobby Blue, Yoyo Yellow and Gary Green).

We have been creative this week and have been making our very own pig faces using paper plates.
Also, we been practicing our listening skills too! Please find this week’s homework is now on ‘Seesaw’.

Next week is half-term so we will have a week off school and return to school on Monday 2nd November 2020.

After half term our topic changes and we will be learning about Celebrations.

Junk Box Modelling
When we return after half term we will be making rockets and are looking for donations for our junk box modelling.
If possible, please could you donate any of the following things:
  • Toilet and kitchen roll tubes,
  • Empty cardboard boxes- including cereal boxes, shoe boxes, tissue boxes and empty package boxes, etc.
  • Empty Yoghurt pots
  • Egg boxes
  • Foil tubes, plastic bottles & bottle lids
If you are able to donate any of the things above, please bring them in with your child on their first session back after half term.

Have a look at our pictures from this week!
