In nursery, we are learning all about celebrations and festivals this half term. This week we have been learning about Diwali and Remembrance Day. The children listened to the story about Rama and Sita and why we celebrate Diwali by making diya lamps. We had lots of art activities and the children created Rangoli patterns and made masks of the characters. We enjoyed dancing along to Bollywood music and listening to Mrs Shah who did a special assembly all about Diwali.
On Friday, we made tissue paper poppies and had a two minute silence to remember those who died in the war. It has been a fun week, and I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
