Year 5 Week 11

This week was assessment week in Year Five.
Children worked hard and completed assessments for the following:
Maths - Arithmetic, problem solving.
Reading - Comprehension
Grammar - GPS and Spelling.
Results and progress will be shared with you at the forthcoming parent consulations. Thank you to all of you who have already booked your appointment - there is still time for those of you who have not! Remember, all parent consultations are now digital and over Zoom.
As the cold weather continues to roll in I am more than happy for children to bring in an additional fleece or jumper to wear in class. We are ensuring that clean, fresh air is regularly circulated through class but sadly this air is becoming colder and colder. I've taken to wearing thermal socks myself!
We will be back to our normal timetable next week and will begin to design our own spacecraft using all of the cardboard, plastic etc that children have brought in from home. Thank-you to all of you who have generously given in things for the children to use.
