We've had a great first full week back in school!
Our overall class topic, Pharaohs, based on Ancient Egypt is being used to augment the children's reading and writing. We've read an explanation text about the Egyptian pantheon of Gods and Goddesses and are currently planning to write a fact file about the hierarchy of Egyptian society.
It is nice to have the classroom not entirely set out in rows. It certainly makes group work easier to achieve!
Other key areas we have been working on are our presentation and our spelling. Writing will be a big focus this year!
