Happy Birthday Maisy

This week we have been reading Happy Birthday Maisy. We have been celebrating birthdays in all sorts of different ways in Nursery. We have spoken about the months of the year and when our birthdays are, and if we know how old we are too. We have been beginning to match quantity to number by looking at the number of candles on a cake and the numerals on the cakes too.
We have been decorating our own birthday cupcakes, engaging in birthday parties and writing out birthday cards and party invitations as well as shopping lists to buy things for the party.
I have really enjoyed meeting parents to talk through how well your children have settled and progressed during their time so far at nursery.
