Year Five: Week Seven

This week we began our new topic, Stargazers. This topic is all about the Solar System and the big ideas that inspire us.
As part of our Science topic, we reviewed evidence as to why some people believe the Earth is flat and compared that to evidence that the Earth is spherical.
In our Relgion lesson we compared the Nativity stories found in the Gospels of Luke and Mathew. We compared the elements that were similar and those that were different. We explained why there may be differences between the two versions and how this compares to our prior knowledge of the Nativity story.
In Maths we began our new unit based on Statistics and have learnt to read, interpret and plot line graphs. We then moved on to problem-solving questions related to these graphs.
