1ST Spring 2 Week 5

Mrs Staples - 28 Mar 2025

We have had a lovely week in Year 1, and it was fantastic to see so many parents during parent’s consultations.
In English, we have explored question marks by thinking about the questions the characters in the Three Billy Goats Gruff might ask.

In Maths, we began our new topic –Length and Height. The children have done a great job of measuring using cubes this week.

In Science, we discussed the signs of Summer. We explored UVA and UVB rays and used UV beads to see how strong the rays from the sun are when in the shade or sunlight.

In DT, the children built dens in class. We had a wonderful afternoon of problem solving and teamwork!

On Friday afternoon it was Eid art afternoon and the children had a lovely time creating lanterns to celebrate.

Dates for the diary:

2nd April - Easter Bonnet Parade

4th April - last day of term - finish at 1.15pm
