1ST Autumn 1 week 7

Mrs Staples - 18 Oct 2024

It’s been a brilliant week in 1ST.

English

This week in English, we acted out the story of ’Superworm’ and sequenced the story. We learnt what a ‘verb’ is, how to add the suffix ‘ing’ to root words and went through the difference between statements and questions. We have also learnt how to use appropriate punctuation marks i.e. question marks at the end of the questions and full stops at the end of the statements.

Maths

In maths, we started learning number bonds within 10; we also learnt systematic number bonds to 10.

Other

In RE, we discussed qualities of a good leader and thought about what makes a good leader.

In music, we completed our final performance of the menu song. Thank you to everyone that sent in kitchen equipment to use as props.

Trip to Barleylands is on 24th October 2024 - please dress in weather appropriate clothing.
