Miss Burgess Update 17/11//23

17 Nov 2023

English
This week Year 1 have been looking at the features of a letter. Then they learnt about past tense 'ed' verbs. Later in the week, Year 1 had a lot of fun watching the scene of Paddington Bear flooding the bathroom. They thought of many amazing sentences to write about the scene which really impressed the adults in the classroom!

Maths
In Maths, Year 1 have been learning to subtract by crossing out and using a numberline. The children have worked really hard on this and used numberlines to help them work out the answers to word problems.

Other
In Geogrophy, we learnt human and physical features. In Science, they continued to look at the properties of materials and objects.
