Miss Burgess Update 3/3/23

English
In English this week we extended our learning by learning to describe the setting of valley and the scene where the popular tale of the Three Billy Goats Gruff was set. We then We also learnt to use question marks in our writing and learnt synonyms for the word ‘said’ and used it in our writing.
Maths
From this week we are learning to count, write numbers and work within 50. We also learnt to count by making groups of tens and partitioning numbers into tens and ones within 50.
Other
In DT, our new topic is ‘Shade and Shelter’ we learnt what shade and shelters are and different types of shade and shelters within our environment. During our topic lesson ‘The Enchanted Woodland’ we created our own fantasy maps and described the settings on the map. After planting our seeds last week, we looked at how seeds grows into a plant. We also wrote the sequence of planting seeds in our booklets.
