The children have been working on instructional writing in English this week. We have been adding a title, list of things that are needed, sequenced instructions and diagrams. We wrote funny instructions about how to bath a bear to finish off our work around Paddington the bear.
During Maths lessons we have been working on ordering numbers from greatest to smallest and the other way. We have found some of the vocabulary quite difficult , but with practice, we are improving every time!
During D+T lessons we have been learning about wheels, axles and chassis and have been creating our own black taxi for Paddington to travel in! We have to paint boxes and add pegs to hold the axles. We also had to use elastic bands as washers to hold the wheels in place. It was quite a fiddly task! We used dowel rods and cut them to about 20cm to attach the wheels to the axle! We really enjoyed making our D+T projects.
