We have had another busy week in Year One.
During maths lessons we have been recapping number bonds to 10 and ensuring that we are systematic in how we do it. We have also been practising writing number sentences for addition and subtraction. This is something that we are growing in confidence in and will continue to practise and embed throughout Year 1. In English, we have been identifying nouns and adjectives and identifying how these can be used to describe our own characters. A lot of us are beginning to expand our sentences using 'and' and some of us are trying to vary the beginning of our sentences.
We really enjoyed posting our letters last week inviting parents to come and watch the nativity! We walked down to the local post box. We hope that you receive them soon. Please ensure that the clothes for the nativity are given to the class teacher by Monday 1st December. Thank you for your support.
