Autumn 1 Week 5

We have had another busy week in Year 1. We have been reading the book Smeds and Smoos in English and we have been describing the character Janet. We have been using the conjunctions 'and' and 'because' to describe what she looked like and what her personality is like.
During Maths lessons, we have began to use part whole models to find the amounts that make a number. We have also been finding fact families. We have to do this in a logical order to then find all the facts in these families.
In Computing lessons, we have been practising our mouse skills. We have been using click and drag to move pictures into the right place. This week we will be practising using keyboard skills.
Please remember that Friday 10th October is Space Day. We will be completing lots of activities around space that day!
