Miss Burgess update

24 Mar 2023

English
This week we have introduced our new book ‘The Secret Garden’. We imagined and drew our own pictures of secret garden, described and listed things from our garden using our five senses. We thought of following things when writing about our gardens.
What would you see in the garden? What will it smell like? Texture of the flowers, leaves, pond, fountain…etc… How would it feel upon touching? What would you hear in the garden? Will there be any fruit trees that you may love?  .
Maths
During our maths lessons this week we used rulers to measure objects in centimetres. We also have been learning how to measure and compare mass and capacity. We used weighing scales to compare the weight of the objects.
Other
In topic this week we learnt about tree boggarts and are looking forward to make our own tree boggarts next week using clay. During DT we designed shade and shelter for different animals that live in either jungle, mountains or desert. In Science we learnt about different types of trees i.e. deciduous and evergreen.

Thank you for coming to our shared learning, look out for photos next week!
