Miss Burgess Update 17/3/23

17 Mar 2023

 English
This week in English we have been focusing on grammar. We have been revisiting how to change words from singular to plural by adding ‘s’ and ‘es’. We have also introduced the exclamation mark to the children and explained how and when we might use this.

Maths
During our maths lessons this week we have started a new topic- Length and Height. We have been learning how to measure using different objects and have even started to use comparative language when discussing the length or height of different objects.

Other
In DT this week we made our bird feeders! The children really enjoyed working as part of a team to place these around the school. In Science, we went on a leaf hunt. We explored the school grounds to try and find different types of leaves.
