Man on the Moon
06 Dec 2018
This week in Year 5. the children have been researching and preparing to write a news article about the first ever moon landing. The children have been learning how to use direct and indirect speech, as well as using headlines to catch the reader's attention.
In Maths this week, we have been learning about negative numbers. The children practised counting through zero and understanding negative numbers in different contexts. We also have looked at Roman Numerals and interpreting line graphs.
In Science, we have looked at the moon and why it appears to change shape throughout the month. The children learned that the moon orbits the Earth, and as a result this effects the reflected light we can see from the moon.
