Welcome back!
In English, we introduced our new focus story ‘Secret Sky Garden’. Children were able to predict what might happen in the story; they also were able to infer character’s feelings. In our grammar lesson, we re-visited using question marks and exclamation marks.
During our maths lessons this week, we learnt the terms ‘capacity’ and ‘volume’. We used different sized containers, filled them up with water using different unit to measure, we then estimated how many units of water will it hold, we then tested and finally found out what container had greater capacity and looked at the volume in each container.
In Science, we started our focus topic ‘Plants’. We looked at chit potatoes; we also looked at some fruit and vegetables closely and made careful observation, it looks different from the outside then the inside. We cut pepper, kiwi, pomegranate, plum and an apple to see different size seeds.  
In Art, we compared two or more pieces of art and wrote about the similarities and differences. In Computing we discussed about online danger and that there may be people online who could make someone feel sad, embarrassed or upset. We also learnt the term ‘technology’ and what it means; we then walked around the classroom and located technology around us. In Geography, we looked at a globe, atlases and different maps; we then drew our own map and learnt to read it.
